Selling a Home in Saskatoon

The Saskatoon real estate market has been described as a "Seller's Market"... that could be the understatement of the year!!  Most realtors who are active in the marketplace would agree that we have never seen anything quite like this.  There is no question that the market is very strong and we are seeing significant upward pressure on home prices.  Typically, this type of market results from an imbalance in the supply of quality homes that are on the market and the demand of qualified buyers who are wishing to purchase such homes.

Selling your home on any market is an involved process that can affect both your family and your future. Before selling on the kind of market that we are currently experiencing, I would strongly advise that you have access to the most up-to-date information available.  A strong market means that pricing, market conditions, factors influencing sales and market trends are fluid and likely to change rapidly.

Should you sell?  When is the best time? How do you get the best price? What kinds of renovations should be made prior to the sale?  What are some of the problems associated with selling on a 'strong' market?... These are all good questions.  I hope you find some of the answers in the reports below.

In the strong Saskatoon market that we are currently enjoying, I believe that timely, relevant market information, the committment of an experienced real estate professional and a effective marketing plan that can put your home in front of hundreds of prospective buyers and their agents, will help ensure that you realize the highest selling price possible.  I am currently recommending that sellers agressively price their property on the MLS system and then let the market determine what the competitive value will be.
